Open House Planned for D’Youville’s Professional Studies Center on Medical Campus
Buffalo, New York – April 23, 2012 – Âé¶¹¸£ÀûÍø College will hold a grand opening of its new Center for Professional Studies on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m.
It will be held in the Innovation Center lobby at 640 Ellicott Street and local dignitaries have been invited to attend.
The College leased space for a classroom and offices in the Center and is the first college/university in the research and development facility. Upgrade courses in occupational therapy and dietetics for healthcare professions will start this month and evening classes for registered nurses seeking a bachelor degree in nursing starts this fall.
Continuing education courses in Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and leadership are planned for later.
Students and faculty will be in close proximity to a number of life sciences and biotechnology startup companies located in the Center and offering collaboration and internships.
This is the second satellite campus Âé¶¹¸£ÀûÍø has established. In October, the private institution opened a facility at Brothers of Mercy Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clarence for registered nurses seeking a bachelor's degree in nursing.
